to University Police
The 1998 amendments
to 20 U.S.C. 1082(f), require Colleges and Universities to publish data
regarding Hate Crimes by category of prejudice, effective with
calendar year 1998. A geographical breakdown, as to where
this type of crime occurred, must also be provided for the following
categories: (1) Campus; (2) Noncampus building or property; (3)
Public property.
All offenses involving students that are
reported to University Police are also referred to the Office of Student
Affairs for campus disciplinary action.
Therefore, please use figures with caution when making statistical
comparisons or compilations. |
