NOTICE

The University Police, in addition to Housing, Various Units on Campus, Individual members of our Faculty, Staff and Students, including the general public, can make referrals to the Office of Student Affairs concerning violations of the Student Conduct Code.  

The release of this data by the Office of Student Affairs is pursuant to the 1998 amendments to 20 U.S.C. 1082 (f).  The tables which follow represent statistical data concerning the number of referrals to the Office of Student Affairs for campus disciplinary action, based on the Offenses that are reportable under this Act.

As stated above, more than one source, including the Police, may be involved in making a referral to Student Affairs about the same individual.  Therefore, please use figures with caution when making statistical comparisons or compilations.

Definition of Campus:   (1) Any building or property owned or controlled by an institution within the same reasonably contiguous geographic area and used by the institution in direct support of, or in a manner related to, the institution's educational purposes, including residence halls; and (2) Any building or property that is within or reasonably contiguous to the area identified in paragraph (1), that is owned by the institution but controlled by another person, is frequently used by students, and supports institutional purposes.
